The ceramics started in a similar way as the sculptures
later intended for bronze casting,
first a model, then enlargement.
But in this case it was possible to reproduce larger pieces independently,
without involving an Italian foundry.
Lothar often used Impruneta clay, otherwise used for flower pots.
It has a wonderful terracotta color and promises to defy cold weather.
