Copper Doors

Lothar's first copper work was during his art training-
a simple hand beaten vessel.

His second copper work was two 2.5x2 meter panels
for the entrance doors for the Gemeinschaft Altenschlirf.
The panels, at first intended to be executed in bronze
would have been too heavy.
The entrance doors for Villa Don in Ober Ägeri Switzerland
3.8x 2.4 meters were so unique, involved, complex, and masterly executed
that even the Swiss craftsmen were astounded.
The interior panels are a mirror image of the exterior panels,
slightly less sculptured.
The exterior handle is beaten copper, the interior V2A steel.
